Launch of PNI Medical Group Advances Care of Neurological and Cranial Disorders

Pacific Neuroscience Institute Medical Group Joins the Providence Saint John’s Health Clinic to Advance Care of Neurological and Cranial Disorders
SANTA MONICA (September 1, 2017) – Pacific Neuroscience Institute announced today the launch of PNI Medical Group’s affiliation with Providence Saint John’s Health Clinic.
Pacific Neuroscience Institute Medical Group (PNIMG), has formally affiliated with Providence Health & Services. Currently with 17 physicians, PNIMG includes specialists in neurosurgery, neuro-oncology, neurology, interventional neuro-radiology, endocrinology, otolaryngology (ENT) and neuro-ophthalmology. The group comprises 7 well-established Centers of Excellence including:
- Brain Tumor Center
- Pituitary Disorders Center
- Eye, Ear and Skull Base Center
- Adult Hydrocephalus Center
- Facial Pain Center
- Movement Disorders Center
- Stroke and Aneurysm Center
Patients can receive the highest quality specialized neurological care through PNI’s Centers of Excellence, spanning a broad range of conditions. Areas of expertise within PNIMG include the diagnosis and treatment of: brain and skull base tumors; pituitary tumors; eye and vision disorders, ear & hearing disorders; sinus and nasal disorders; adult hydrocephalus conditions; facial pain disorders; movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease and essential tremor, as well as emergency stroke services and endovascular and microsurgical treatment of cerebral aneurysms. Through the Pacific Neuroscience Research Center, patients cared for by PNIMG physicians also have access to leading edge clinical trials including patients with glioblastoma and metastatic brain tumors, as well as those with chronic stroke.
All PNIMG physicians accept Medicare and the great majority are now in-network insurance providers. They practice predominantly at Providence Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, as well as at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in Torrance, and Providence Saint Joseph’s Medical Center in Burbank.

A dedicated PNIMG Clinic will open on September 12th, 2017 at 4201 Torrance Blvd, Suite 520, Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in Torrance.
The new PNI Clinic currently under construction at 2125 Arizona Ave., adjacent to Providence Saint John’s Health Center, is expected to be open by March 2018.

Dr. Kelly’s PNI co-founders include Chester F. Griffiths, M.D., FACS, head and neck surgeon/otolaryngologist; neuro-oncologist Santosh Kesari, M.D., Ph.D., and neuro-ophthalmologist Howard R. Krauss, M.D.
