Overview of Diagnostic Tests We Perform
In many cases, the treatment plans for patients with hydrocephalus or other CSF disorders are clear based on each patient’s story, physical exam and imaging.
Given the complexity of the diseases we treat, often further tests are necessary to help discern the best possible treatment for each disorder.
Most of our patients will undergo standard neurological evaluation, as well as directed tests for normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH). These include ambulatory assessments as well as the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA). Basic imaging includes head CT scan, brain MRI and spinal MRI.
